Inclusion: Africa
The discussion about Rights of People with Disabilities in Africa is strongly linked to international developments, especially in the area of Human and Children Rights. Further important issues include the relation between disability and poverty or disability and health, especially HIV/AIDS, but also the local knowledge and handling of disability. Our section "Research & Literature" provides you with a small choice of articles (open access) on the topics just mentioned. A detailed list of African countries having signed and ratified the UN Disability Convention is adding to the Africa map on the right.
