Education in Italy

"Parlamento Europeo Italia" in Rome with the Italian flag

Italy is this year's guest of honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Education Worldwide is marking the occasion with a web dossier on the Italian education system. In addition to information on education and schools in Italy, you will also find tips on educational holidays and educational trips to Italy. Another section of the dossier deals with current developments in Italy: How has the right-wing government under Giorgia Meloni changed the education system since 2022? There are concerns about a return to more traditional educational approaches. Critics fear that this could jeopardise the diversity and innovation of the Italian education system.
Last but not least, on the occasion of the Frankfurt Book Fair, we present you with some literature tips and information on reading culture and reading skills in Italy.
